To say that I love music would be an understatement. I play cello and piano and I listen to everything from Mozart to Metallica, from Garth Brooks to Rob Zombie. I have a collection of great band links here. To me, it's not so much the genre of the music as the quality and it's ability to influence your mind, body and soul. I have included at least one very good link for each band listed. In most cases it is that particular band's official home page and other times I went with a well designed site by one or more of the bands fanatical fans. If, however you know of another even better page dedicated to any of these bands, please let me know at [email protected].
Oh ya! And don't forget to check out some of my current favorite songs. Most of them are fairly new but some of them are old ones I've rediscovered or have a special meaning to me at this time in my life.
For a long time Metallica has been my favorite band. Complex head banging rhythms and scull crushing rifts combined with intelligent, meaningful, though usually tortured lyrics, makes Metallica the perfect band to listen to when you get pissed off, disillusioned, or just want to plain rock out.

MONSTER MAGNET Space Lord mother fucker, oh ya! Think of Pink Floyd getting run over by Metallica and Nirvana and you might begin to comprehend this phenomenon called Monster Magnet. Never before have songs about greed, sex, and the corruption of the American dream been this fun to listen to. As my friend Chris put it, "It's a drug and Satan thing, you wouldn't understand!" Actually Monster Magnet is not at all about Satanism, though I'm quite certain most of their songs were written under the influence of some mind altering substances.
Def Leppard Quite possibly the best thing to come out of the 80's and still be going strong. This band is both heavy and upbeat party rock 'n roll. "Pour Sugar on Me" is a favorite Def Leppard song for all my friends to sing along with while riding in my car. This band has conquered much hardship. Their absolutely incredible drummer plays with only one arm, and they have lost guitarists to alcoholism but they still rock on. Crank it up and let your inner pyromaniac loose!
Van Halen Eddie Van Halen can play a guitar faster than greased lightning running downhill, and his brother Alex can pound the skins like you wouldn't believe. There friend and band mate Michael Anthony plays kick asse bass so it really doesn't matter which of the three lead singers is better, Sammy Haggar, David Lee Roth, or Gary Cherone, because this band as always been a showcase for awesome musicianship and over the top vocals.
